Froggy Comes Home

I was so excited to bring Froggy to my house on Friday. At school all the kids get to bring home Froggy for a weekend, and talk about what we did together. I ran off the bus with a big smile on my face. After Froggy met my family, he played LEGOS with Zach and me. For dinner we had Kid Cuisines and Froggy had a “Froggy Cuisine.” My parent’s small group from church came over after dinner, so Froggy got to meet all of my friends.

Then I put him to bed early in his special bed in my room, so I could play with my friends in the basement. He was tired.

Saturday morning after breakfast, Zach and I played leapfrog with Froggy. My littlest brother Calvin really liked Froggy. He gave him hugs and tried to say “Ribbit.” After lunch, we ice skated in the backyard with my Dad. My mom put Froggy in a special Ziploc bag and a red backpack to keep him warm and dry on the ice. He liked ice-skating with us. We also read a bunch of Froggy’s books with Zach and Froggy.

On Sunday, we went to church. Froggy stayed in his special bed in the car. After church, we went to Grandma A’s house for lunch. Froggy peeked out of his special bed to say hello to Grandma, but then we brought him upstairs so Grandma’s new dog Joey wouldn’t try and play with him. After lunch, my Mom, my Dad, Zach, and I went to see The Tale of Despereaux at the movies. Grandma watched Calvin because he was too little and needed a nap. She also watched Froggy. I thought the movie might scare him.
I had a lot of fun with Froggy this weekend. I hope he had fun too!
